About the roleNutrition and Dietetics are seeking an Advanced Dietitian to be a part of the Paediatric Diabetes Team on the Christchurch Health Campus.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring your advanced knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective assessment and intervention to children and whānau living with diabetes.

In this role you will:Manage a clinical case load of children across the inpatient and outpatient settingsWork in collaboration with the Paediatric Diabetes Multi-Disciplinary TeamProvide professional leadership and supervision of clinical activity andpractice across all aspects of Paediatric Diabetes Undertake service and policy development and quality improvement activities as part of the role including audits, research and projectsLead and support professional development, skill sharing and positivepractice About YouWe are seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our team in this Advanced Practitioner role.

To be successful you will demonstrate the following skills: A drive to ensure the best health outcomes for children and their whānau living with diabetesThe ability to work within a team and contribute to the provision ofquality care within the serviceSelf-motivated, organised and enjoy a challengeStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to buildand nurture relationships with patients and other people within the serviceMinimum 5 years of clinical practice with at least 3 of those years of clinical work experience within Paediatric or Diabetes, with experience in both advantageousConfident with diabetes technologies, such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systemsExperience with clinical teaching/supervision, training and development of staffCompetency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reoMāori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of yourlearning and growth Demonstrated decision making particularly in complex situationsExperience in people leadership and/or managementWe are looking for a self-motivated dietitian who enjoys a challenge, enjoys innovation and applies health improvement models to practice.Workingfor Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses'.
