About the role

Our teams of dynamic and motivated Dietitians are based at Christchurch Health Campus and Burwood Campus, which includes areas such as medical and surgical, paediatrics, diabetes, women - s health and older persons health and rehabilitation.

We have a casual vacancy available, for a flexible dietitian/s looking to support our great teams at both Christchurch and Burwood Hospital and to meet the needs of our patients. You - ll be working as part of multi-disciplinary teams, liaising with health providers and you - ll be driven to ensure best health outcomes for people with nutrition related disorders.

Depending on your skill mix and experience, as well as your preference for flexible hours we are keen to hear from you. As a casual you will have supported orientation, professional development and supervision.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing nutrition assessment, intervention and education in all clinical settings
  • You may also be required to provide nutrition care to inpatients in Christchurch and Burwood Hospital

About You

Your skills will include:

  • Enthusiasm for your work and the ability to be a positive team player
  • Self-motivation, organisation and will enjoy a challenge
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in a range of of different settings and a desire to learn
  • Competent with oral and enteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition experience is desired
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current NZ Practising Certificate
  • Flexibility and able to adapt to the day as required
