Polymer Chemist and QC head

The role

You’ll lead day-to-day laboratory activity: perform and manage QC testing and records, coordinate product release, assist with R&D and scale-up, and maintain technical and safety documentation (SDS, TDS, labelling, ERMA/MPI requirements). You’ll also prepare and maintain batch manufacturing sheets, update formulation/production databases, support raw material QA and liaise with suppliers and production staff.

Key responsibilities

Manage QC analysis and ensure accurate storage of QC data

Coordinate tested-product release and support raw-material QA

Assist R&D and supervise lab-to-production scale up

Prepare and control batch manufacturing sheets; maintain batch database

Write & maintain SDS, TDS, product & consignment labelling, and ERMA/MPI data

Maintain production/formulation database and SOPs / OSH documentation

Provide technical advice to customers and support production as required

About you

Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science or similar

Practical lab and manufacturing experience — ideally with adhesives / formulated polymers

Strong QC discipline and experience with lab documentation and regulatory compliance

Experience with SDS/TDS, labelling and scale-up from lab to production desirable

Organized, safety focused, able to work independently and in a small technical team

Eligible to work in New Zealand
