-time contract for 6 months (0.6FTE) 24 hours per week based at Hillmorton Hospital Days of work are Thursday, Friday and SaturdayRegistration with New Zealand Social Work Board and current APC essentialAbout the RoleThis is a fast-paced role working within multidisciplinaryteams, both within the Family Safety Service and at the Integrated Safety Response (ISR) table with otheragencies as a representative of Health New Zealand.
Serious reports of family violence are sharedby the police, robust discussion held amongst the agencies, and safety andsupport plans are formulated.We are seeking a skilled, passionate and resilient socialworker within the family protection space to join our team in this fixed term part time role.
Utilise your experience supporting referrals from Health NewZealand staff pertaining to intimate partner abuse, maternal care and wellbeing,and elder abuse where there are concerns for abuse and neglect.
Provideguidance to staff seeking to manage cases where patients are experiencing abuseand neglect.
In this role, you will be responsible for:Participating in the Police Integrated SafetyResponse process to promote immediate safety for families experiencing familyviolenceEnsure daily preparation is completed in linewith Health New Zealand and ISR information sharing agreementsAttend ISR Inter-agency meetings
- Safety AssessmentMeetingsCreating risk statements based on informationfrom all partnering agencies in relation to risk for future family violenceParticipate in Professional Hui with plan leadsand partnering agenciesComplete case consultations with colleaguesand other health professionalsUpdate records on all relevant informationsystems to reflect the plans and completion of assigned tasksAbout YouWe are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Child, Family and Safety Service in this permanent part time role.
