Social Work Services provide 24-hour social workservice 7 days a week, as part of a multi-disciplinary team who take a holisticapproach to patient care.We provide psychosocial assessment in conjunctionwith a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the current needs associated with aperson
  • s admission and to provide appropriate support.

We currently have a casual position available towork across the Christchurch combined hospital campus.In this role, youwill be responsible for:Psychosocial assessment, monitoring and support of people within the service in accordance with ANZASW Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and the SWRB Core Competency Standards;Attendance and participation in the social work team and staff meetings;Providing cover to our 24hr social work service as required on a rostered basis;Participation in service development and quality assurance initiatives/processes;About YouThis role will require you to work across a range of different multidisciplinary teams, so being a team player who can adapt will be essential to your success.

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the following:A passion for working with adults, children and their families/whanauExcellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of lifeHospital experience is advantageous, as is experience with Care and Protection, Family Harm, and TraumaCompetency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reoMāori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of yourlearning and growth You will also be required to hold acurrent NZ Registration as a Social Worker with the Social Work RegistrationBoard.Workingfor Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses'.
