Experienced Fabricator, Welder, and Installer
We are seeking a senior tradesperson who can lead projects and become a valuable member of our dedicated team, working on structural steel and bespoke steel assignments. Experience with pipe welding is a strong asset. This role offers diverse tasks designed to keep you challenged, engaged, and rewarded.
You should possess equal skill in both fabrication and welding, as you'll oversee jobs from initiation right through to installation. - Fitting, welding, and fabrication of structural steel—both workshop and site-based
- Prior experience in plant environments and pipework is an advantage
- Supervisory capacities, developing quality plans for certification, and building client networks
- Essential expertise in carbon and stainless-steel welding for structural and piping tasks
- Proven ability to install steel works
- Capacity to take precise site measurements
- Welding qualifications (including ASME) and a willingness to acquire new certifications
- Aluminium TIG welding proficiency is advantageous
- Familiarity with workshop machinery (drill press, lathe, bandsaw, plasma cutter, etc.)
- Competence with sheet metal equipment (presses, guillotines, rollers)
- Ability to interpret engineering and CAD drawings
- Aptitude for training apprentices on-site
- NZQA Level 4 trade qualification or greater, or equivalent skills/experience
- Competitive hourly pay reviewed and increased based on performance, including overtime rates

- Clearance following alcohol and drug-free testing; pre-employment test required
- A current, valid full driver’s licence, able to drive manual vehicles

Working hours are Monday to Friday, with start/finish times discussed during interview, guaranteeing at least 40+ hours weekly. Pay is negotiable, rewarding experience and expertise with top market rates.
