Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team full-time. The role involves fabrication, assembly, and occasional installation of metal components for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Work is primarily workshop-based, with some site installations as required.

This is a genuine New Zealand role and we welcome applications from candidates legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

• Guaranteed minimum hours: 30 per week
• Expected hours: 45 per week
• Maximum ordinary hours: 50 per week
• Overtime: Any hours worked over 50 per week will be paid at the agreed overtime rate in addition to the base hourly rate.

• $34.00 – $45.00 per hour (depending on experience and skill level)
• All hours worked, including overtime, will be paid

• Fabricate metal components according to drawings and specifications
• MIG and TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and copper
• Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Measure, cut, assemble, and finish fabricated products
• Assist with on-site installation work when required
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment

• At least 2 years’ relevant metal fabrication experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Competency in MIG and TIG welding
• Experience using standard fabrication tools and equipment

• Ability to follow health and safety procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and strong work ethic
• Full NZ driver licence preferred but not essential
