Permanent position available - 1FTEWellbeing benefits - full onsite gym, health programAbout the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Health Professional to join our School-based Mental Health team in the Papamoa Kahui Ako.
A kāhui akō is also known as a Community of Learning (COL) or a cluster of schools usually in a geographical area.This role will work with Te Waka Hourua o Papamoa Kāhui Ako within its Learning Support Delivery model to ensure that tamariki with mental health and wellbeing needs are identified, and interventions are put into place to support their emotional and mental health resilience from a whanau perspective.

Innovation, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in schools are key to success in this role.This is a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) position, working 40 hours per week within the Papamoa Kāhui Akō.Te Whatu Ora Hauora Bay of Plenty and MICAMHS are committed to evidence-based practices, and this role aligns with that commitment.About YouThe role requires a collaborative approach with schools, communities, whānau and tamariki so it is essential that you have excellent communication skills and able to build strong foundational relationships.The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications and be an experienced Child & Adolescent Mental Health Professional (Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered counsellor) ideally with knowledge of the changing needs of the communities of Te Waka Hourua o Tauranga kāhui akō and the competency to work effectively within diverse communities.
