Location: Christchurch, New Zealand | Hourly Rate: $33-$37 (depending on experience) | Employment Type: Full-time | Immediate Start
We are recruiting for a leading provider of comprehensive asset and facilities maintenance services across New Zealand. They specialise in building and grounds maintenance, preventative and reactive repairs, and large-scale property improvement projects.Their clients include major commercial entities and government agencies such as hospitals, police stations, prisons, and infrastructure partners like Downer and Mall facilities. We are currently seeking multiple skilled and reliable maintenance carpenters to join our Christchurch team.
***Key Responsibilities***- Perform maintenance carpentry across commercial and government sites
- Carry out reactive and scheduled repairs to a high standard
- Collaborate with other trades and site teams to ensure timely project delivery
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Represent the organisation professionally on-site with clients and stakeholders
- You have your own tools
- Proven experience in maintenance carpentry
- Trade qualification in carpentry (NZQA or equivalent) (Desirable but not required)
- Clean Ministry of Justice (MOJ) record
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Full NZ driving licence
- Competitive hourly rate: $33-$37 based on experience
