Gardener

Opportunity for an experienced Groundsperson to manage and maintain the grounds and outdoor areas of a private residence. This role is ideal for a practical knowledgeable gardening and maintenance person who takes pride in their work and strives to uphold the highest standards of property care and presentation.

All equipment including ride-on mower and trailer is provided, as well as a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Groundskeeping & Gardening: Maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas, including planting, pruning, mulching, and general horticultural care.
• Property Maintenance: Perform general outdoor property maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of outdoor fixtures and recreational amenities.
• Equipment Management: Operate and maintain gardening tools, machinery, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Seasonal Tasks: Adapt to seasonal demands such as leaf clearance and irrigation management.
• Property Presentation: Ensure all outdoor spaces are maintained to a high standard.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or property maintenance.
• Experience in horticulture, gardens and plant care.
• Practical skills in using and maintaining tools and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• High degree of ownership and accountability.
• A valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
• A practical mind and can do attitude is essential
