The Role
Based in Gisborne and reporting to the Regional Harvest Manager, this dynamic role makes a significant contribution to the operational success of the FMNZ harvest capacity. Our ideal candidate will come from a harvesting background and have a practical knowledge of harvest operations.A relevant tertiary qualification would also be advantageous, however, not essential.
Key parts of the role- Co-ordinating and managing harvesting operations to provide the best possible result for our forest owners in conjunction with the Regional Harvest Manager
- Preparation/implementation of pre-harvest plans including roading, consent applications, etc.
- Monitoring contractor performance and progress
- Assisting with harvest roading infrastructure and organisation of documents and external providers
- Auditing, log quality and woodflow checks with contractors
- Ensuring FMNZ environmental standards are adhered to
- Promotion of and compliance with health and safety standards
