Grada Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Contract Manager or Senior Project Manager keen to step into a 2IC position within a leading contractor's team operating across the Wairarapa region.
The Role
In this crucial 2IC position, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of earthworks and land development projects. You will oversee all commercial aspects of your projects, from tender to final account, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.This is a hands-on role where you will provide contractual guidance, manage client relationships, and drive profitability while supporting the Branch Manager in leading the regional team of project managers and field staff

The Ideal Candidate- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience within the New Zealand civil contracting industry as a Senior project manager or higher.
- Demonstrated experience in managing contracts, particularly with a focus on earthworks and land development projects.
- A strong understanding of NZS3910 and other relevant construction contracts.
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong negotiation and client management skills.
- A highly competitive salary package ranging from $120,000 to $160,000, plus a range of benefits.
