We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team at Pahadi Pearl, specialising in traditional Indian and Pahadi (mountain region) cuisine. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in preparing authentic North Indian and regional Pahadi dishes, with a focus on taste, presentation, and consistency.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes including traditional Pahadi items, curries, breads, tandoori dishes, rice, and snacks.
• Use knowledge of authentic herbs and spices to replicate traditional Himalayan flavours.
• Follow standard recipes while being able to adjust for special customer preferences.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area in compliance with NZ food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Skills and Experience Required:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook, specifically with Indian or Pahadi cuisine.
• Knowledge of traditional cooking techniques and ingredients used in Pahadi dishes.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize orders, and work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be flexible with shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
