Bike Mechanic / Customer Service

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Bike Mechanic who is passionate about bikes and enjoys working with people!
Key Responsibilities:
Bike Fleet Maintenance:- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all types of bicycles, including e-bikes, mountain bikes, and trail bikes.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all bikes are in top working condition and safe for use.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on each bike.
- Assist walk-in customers with bike rentals, providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs and skill levels.
- Handle inquiries and provide exceptional customer service at the shop front.
- Address and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Prepare bikes for pre-booked rentals and guided tours, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of each booking.
- Collaborate with the booking and tour teams to ensure seamless preparation and execution of tours.
- Assist with the logistics of bike transport and tour setup as needed.
- Proven experience as a bike mechanic or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of bicycle repair and maintenance.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for cycling and familiarity with various types of bikes.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and managing bookings.
- Knowledge of New Zealand's cycling routes and trails.
