Civil Engineer
We currently have an opportunity for a BE, qualified (NZ) Civil Engineer.
You will ideally have two or more years post grad New Zealand experience with an emphasis on residential, commercial and industrial infrastructure design (including, but not limited to, public and private stormwater and wastewater, stormwater treatment and mitigation, low impact urban design, small scale subdivisions, vehicle access and carparking, 1%AEP flood modelling and secondary overland flowpath design and reporting for Resource Consent).
If you are a great multi-tasker, capable of working on a wide range of projects in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and enjoy harnessing the power of Civil 3D as a design tool, liaising with clients, Councils, planners, surveyors and contractors on a day to day basis, then this position is for you.
Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is essential, and HEC-HMS or other hydrological modelling type software along with Microsoft Excel knowledge would be an advantage. Confidence in observing work you have designed being constructed on site, mentoring more junior team members (where appropriate), an ability to review the work of others, meticulous attention to detail as well as a good working knowledge of local body guidelines and policies, excellent communication, report writing skills and a positive Client focus are imperative to succeed in this role.
