**About the Role**

We’re looking for a professional, customer-focused Truck Driver to join our new Hautapu factory.

This is a newly created role as we bring our transport in-house. You’ll be the final link in the chain, delivering Real Steel product safely and on time, while representing the company and building strong relationships with our customers.

This role will suit someone who takes pride in their driving and truck presentation, and who enjoys being hands-on and part of a wider factory team.

**What you'll be doing**
  • Driving a brand new Class 4, 4 axle truck to deliver steel products to our customers
  • Being the face of Real Steel on site with customers – communicating clearly, professionally, and proactively
  • Contacting customers ahead of arrival to coordinate unloading and access
  • Safely loading, restraining, and unloading steel products
  • Delivering and collecting reusable steel pallets and crates, ensuring accurate tracking
  • Taking ownership of truck presentation, cleanliness, and day-to-day care
  • Driving predominantly day-based runs, with occasion overnight deliveries
  • Working closely with the Logistics Manager, storepersons and dispatch team members
  • Helping out in the factory when the truck is not out on the road
**What you'll bring**
  • A current Class 4 driver licence
  • At least 5 years’ experience driving Class 4 or higher vehicles
  • Experience handling and securing varied or awkward loads
  • A professional approach to driving, safety, and compliance
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
  • Pride in personal presentation and maintaining well-presented equipment
  • A flexible mindset – happy for no two days to look the same
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to muck in where needed

Just as important as experience is mindset. We’re looking for a reliable, practical person who represents the Real Steel brand with pride and professionalism.

**Why join Real Steel?**
  • Be part of the founding team at a brand-new factory
  • Modern machinery and a purpose-built production environment
  • A company that invests in its people and long-term careers
  • Real opportunities to grow as the site expands
  • A supportive team culture within a family-owned New Zealand business
