Helicopter Ground Crew Member & Truck Driver – Full-Time, Permanent

Negotiable Start Date - Interviews will commence week of the 22nd of June 2026.

Are you safety-focused, physically fit, and ready for a hands-on role in a dynamic environment? We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Helicopter Ground Crew Member and Truck Driver. This full-time permanent position plays a critical role in supporting helicopter operations, ensuring safety, and keeping ground logistics running smoothly.

Full training provided – you'll work alongside experienced crew until you're confident and competent in the role.

Key Responsibilities

Support all ground-based helicopter operations, including:
  • Refuelling
  • Loading helicopters with fertiliser and agrichemicals
  • Fire response operations
  • General ground handling and helicopter support
  • Safely guide helicopters in and out of landing zones using communication equipment
  • Drive and operate 6 & 8-wheeler truck and trailer units to deliver bulk fertiliser to helicopter sites

  • Transport equipment and personnel to various job sites
  • Monitor weather conditions and assist in flight preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of helicopters and ground equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and standard operating practices
  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients on-site
Skills & Qualifications
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexible with working hours – this is not a typical 9–5 job; availability for early starts, weekends, and occasional overnight travel is required. You must be capable of waking up early and working long hours during season peaks. We also work around the weather so it defiantly adds another dynamic.
  • Good with basic maths (As you will be mixing the spray loads for the helicopter)
  • Full Class 4 or 5 license required
  • Experience operating truck & trailer units; bulk product handling experience an advantage
  • Bonus: Dangerous Goods endorsement, Growsafe Certificate, and First Aid certification
  • Strong work ethic, safety awareness, and team player attitude
What We Offer
  • Above industry average hourly rate
  • Comprehensive on-the-job training
  • Opportunities for career growth within the aviation and transport sectors
  • A supportive team environment with a focus on safety and professional development
