Fitter/Turner
This is a unique opportunity with one of Waikato’s specialist Engineering companies. They are seeking an experienced Fitter/Turner/Machinist to support their existing team. The ideal candidate will have proven skill in the manufacturing and assembly of filling machines.

The Role:
As a Fitter/Turner, you’ll be responsible for the successful manufacturing and assembly of components for filling machines and any other equipment manufactured by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing and assembling components to specification and on time
- Operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining quality standards in all work
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- CNC programming and operating
- Accuracy with measurements and calibrations
Key Values We’re Looking For:
- Precision-focused with Turning, Facing, Parting, Grooving, Boring and Knurling skillset.
- Methodical with zero to low rework and defects in work output
- A quick thinker, observant and patient
- Good-humoured, energetic and a team player
- Trade-qualified Fitter/Turner/Machinist, min 3 years experience with stainless steel and alloys
- Mechanical Engineer – Level 4 (preferred)
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics, some electrical knowledge (preferred)
