Our integrated FamilyHealth Centre offers a fantastic mix of general practice and rural hospitalmedicine with a wide range of services and this role is supporting thoseimportant services.About the roleIn this role, you will be responsible for:Cooking for rest home residents, acute tūroro (patients) and meals on wheels delivery.Keeping work areas, equipment and utensils clean and well maintainedReceiving, store and rotate kitchen suppliesRegularly developing and updating industry knowledgeYou will be following recipes from a weekly menu and will besupported by the main cook of the day.Salary starting from $ 29.25 perhour.
Based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement.About YouWe are looking for a motivated, reliable and punctual Cookwho can bring their passion for food to our facility.You will also be responsible for maintaining and adhering toour Food Control Plan, Health New Zealand code of conduct and Health and Safetyprocedures.Full training will be provided to all new staff joining ourteam.Skills and ExperienceExcellent communication skillsPassion for cookery and a creative approach, adaptable when requiredThe ability to maintain speed without compromising standards, work well under pressureAbility to build solid relationships with othersProven experience in a similar role preferred but not essentialNZQA Food Handling Cert Unit 167/ 168 preferred but not essentialHigh level of Patient confidentialityWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
