Our Engineering Services business unit manages the infrastructure assets at Auckland Airport so that they effectively and efficiently serve the defined needs of our company, customers and stakeholders. The team understand that the effective management of these assets supports Auckland Airport's strategic goals and reputation.Role
The purpose of theFuel Technical Services Engineerrole is to provide and facilitate planned and reactive maintenance services for the aviation fuel network/hydrant system at the Airport.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) or relevant qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical or utilities maintenance engineering.
- Good understanding of reactive and proactive maintenance requirements.
- Team contributor with ability to collaborate well with different levels.
- Carry out and/or facilitate planned, corrective and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Update maintenance records in a timely manner.
- Assess and report on asset conditions.
- Ensure critical spares are maintained to agreed levels.
- Provide quality assurance for project related work.
- Provide on-site technical assistance as required to ensure pipeline safety, integrity and quality is maintained.
- Conduct Fuel Hydrant easement patrols and management.
- Actively participate and contribute to regulatory compliance tasks such as annual and 5 yearly certification audits.
- Regularly review processes and procedures to align with industry best practice.
- Actively participate and contribute to emergency management plans, such as emergency exercises.
- Maintain regular and open dialog with Senior Fuel and Gas Reliability Engineer and provide technical support as required.
- Collaborate with AKL Pipeline Manager and asset owner.
