Our client, a well-established New Zealand-owned business, is looking for aSenior Hydraulic Service Technicianto join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge hydraulic technologies in a role that blends field service, workshop repairs, and client engagement.

You’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking company that values high standards, safety, and innovation—servicing a wide range of sectors including industrial, timber, and marine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, cylinders, valves, and gearboxes
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
• Liaise directly with clients to assess operational needs
• Scope, plan, and deliver hydraulic service projects
• Ensure safety and compliance documentation is maintained

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical (e.g., Fitter Turner, Plant Mechanic, Electrical Fitter)
• Proven experience with hydraulic systems and mechanical servicing
• Some electrical knowledge is a plus
• Confident interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Full NZ Driver Licence (HT and Forklift endorsements advantageous)
