Site Operations Manager - Greerton
The Operations Manager is a hands on role, leading continuous improvement initiatives and supports new process trials. Additionally, this role encompasses full people management responsibilities, including performance management, training, and employee development, for the production site, reporting to the General Manager, Post Harvest Operations.
What your days looks like:
- Develop, implement, and oversee effective production planning, resource utilisation, waste minimisation, and support new process trials and problem-solving initiatives.
- Ensure all activities comply with company health, safety, quality, legal, and ethical standards, promoting a strong safety culture and completing required training.
- Lead and support the team through performance management, training, competency development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
- Manage labour and budget controls, support capital expenditure justifications, and contribute to financial and operational efficiency improvements.
- Facilitate communication across teams through daily meetings, reporting, and acting as escalation point to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business objectives.
The Ingredients for Success:
- 3+ years' experience in operations or manufacturing leadership; tertiary qualification an advantage.
- Strong continuous improvement and root cause analysis skills, with ability to train others.
- Effective people leader with problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Confident communicator, able to engage site teams and senior leadership.
- Data-driven decision maker, proficient in computer and data analysis tools.
