FIRST Security, New Zealand's market leader in protective security, is seeking an experienced Shift Managerto support Auckland Operations. This key role provides direct supervision of field staff, oversees deployments, and ensures high-quality service delivery across the region.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Client Services, you will provide operational leadership during your shift, ensuring all deployments are fully staffed, compliant, and professionally delivered. This role operates on a rotating roster aligned to operational needs.
What You'll DoEnsure all shifts are covered and deployed in liaison with Workforce Planners
Supervise and support security officers in the field
Oversee large-scale operations, special events, and incidents
Conduct site visits, patrols, and inspections to maintain service standards
Manage customer queries, complaints, and incident reportingSupport mobile patrol officers and liaise with NZ Police when required
Maintain the comapny vehicle and comply with Health & Safety requirements
What We're Looking ForProven leadership or supervisory experience
Security industry experience (advantageous)
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Ability to work a rotating roster
Current Certificate of Approval (COA) or ability to obtain
Full New Zealand Driver Licence
Ability to pass MOJ and Vulnerable Children's Act checks
