Our client is a multi-faceted arboricultural contracting company delivering high quality tree work to the commercial, residential and rural markets.
They are after a Climbing Arborist to join their team.

The successful person will work predominantly within the Residential Team working on private properties in the Hawke’s Bay District, however there is regular opportunity to work with the Commercial Team whose focus is large scale tree removal in the rural sector.
If you physically fit & healthy, a team player, with a Level 4 Cert in Aboriculture, a willingness to learn, someone who is proactive& committed to safe & efficient working practices, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities & Duties:
- All aspects of tree work to the level you have been assessed as competent
- Operating machinery in accordance with SOPs (eg. chippers, stump grinder)
- Using plant and equipment appropriate to each job in accordance with SOPS (eg. chainsaws, hedge trimmers, pole saws, blowers, etc)
- Using non-powered industry appropriate hand tools (handsaws, rakes, etc)
- Maintaining tools and machinery in accordance with SOPS
- Driving vehicles for which you have an appropriate licence
- Participating in regular in-house training sessions
- Completing health and safety documentation, timesheets and other compliance documentation as required
- Actively participating in safety/toolbox meetings
- Pricing and client liaison
Qualifications:
- L4 (or greater) Certificate in Horticulture (Arboriculture)
- Chainsaw competency
- Clean driving licence 2 or greater
- Current First Aid certificate
