2x Indian Tandoori Cook - Wanganui

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Tandoori Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of traditional North Indian cuisine, particularly tandoori-style cooking using a clay oven (tandoor). You must be able to prepare a variety of authentic dishes, including tandoori breads, and grilled meats, while maintaining high standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
.Prepare and cook tandoori dishes including naan, roti, kebabs, tandoori chicken, and other grilled specialties..Manage and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring consistent heat and safety.
.Ensure proper marination and cooking techniques are used for all dishes.
.Work efficiently in a high-paced kitchen environment.
.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
.Assist with menu planning and food inventory management if required.
Requirements:
.Proven experience as a Tandoori or Indian Cook (minimum 3 years preferred)..Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
.Ability to work in a team and follow kitchen protocols.
.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
