About the role and who we are looking for:
We are looking for a part-time Cook to work at Palmerston North Hospital. We need someone who loves to cook. You need to be able to work weekends.
The great things you'll do:
In this position you will be responsible for:- record keeping,
- assisting the team with cooking,
- preparing and serving quality meals according to dietitian specifications and,
- ensuring the quality of every dish we serve!
- assist with ordering and menu development
- maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen.
Ideal skills and experience you will have:
If you're our ideal candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. Ideally you will already have experience working in a commercial kitchen and hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168), or be happy to train for one.
You will need to have the ability to work independently and confidently but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
