About the Role
The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing the store’s day-to-day operations and leading the team to achieve sales and service goals. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily store operations to ensure the shop runs efficiently.
- Maintain store cleanliness, visual displays, and overall presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of clothing, shoes, general merchandise, and gifts.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns to provide excellent service.
- Lead the team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Recruit, train, and supervise retail staff.
- Prepare staff rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Update product displays and implement promotional activities.
- Analyze sales data to identify best-selling and slow-moving products.
- Conduct regular stock takes and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Manage cash handling, daily reconciliation, and bank deposits.
- Prepare sales and operational reports for management.
- Ensure the store complies with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all staff follow company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding purchasing, restocking, and pricing
Job pre-requisites:
- At least two years’ working experience gained in the same industry
- Relevant qualification or certificate is preferrable but not a must
- Smile on your face always
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.
