Wairarapa Village provides hospital, rest home, respite levels of care and supports the DHB health recovery and palliative care respite programs. Additionally, care staff provide support to Village and Serviced Apartment residents.

You will be involved with providing personal care to our residents including assistance with showering and meals, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. After completing the relevant competency modules, you can assist with other aspects of care delivery as directed by the Registered Nurse.

As part of your role, you will be building connections and relationships with our residents and their families and working as part of dedicated team.

We are inviting applications from candidates with no previous experience or who have previously worked in a New Zealand aged care facility. We are seeking staff who have or are willing to complete the NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificates Level 2 -4.

We are looking for staff who can work on a casual basis that could lead into permanent work. The flexibility for shift work is also an advantage. Availability to start immediately an advantage.

Your remuneration will be in line with the Care and Support Worker Pay Equity legislation and range from $23.50 to $29.50. There is also the opportunity for overtime and penal rates.
