Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor
Location: Auckland
  • The employee might need to work at the employer's alternate sites in Auckland, subject to mutual agreement.

Employment type: Full-time and Permanent
Days required: 5 days per week
Hours per week: 30 (minimum) - 45 hours

Hourly pay: $25 - $30

Job Description with key tasks and responsibilities
  1. Ensure customers are satisfied with service
  2. Train and supervise staff
  3. Handle cash, record financial transactions and report back to head office
  4. Order restaurant supplies and control stocks
  5. Ensure dining facilities complay with health regulations
  6. Plan and organize functions, liaise with tour companies
  7. Other relevant duties / related activities of the business, if required from time to time
Job pre-requisites (skill, qualification, and experience)
  • A minimum of one year’s work experience in a restaurant
  • Management experience
  • If the above experience is not met, applicants must hold either a Bachelor’s degree
or a Level 7 or higher qualification in Hospitality Management
  • A strong understanding and sound knowledge of hospitality industry standards and ethics
  • Effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Not essential, but knowledge of Japanese cuisine and/or experience working in a Japanese

restaurant is preferred.
