Project Manager
About Newline Group:Newline Group is a leading supplier and installer of high-quality showers throughout New Zealand. We work with group home builders and large-scale commercial projects to deliver exceptional bathroom solutions. We are looking for experienced Project Managers to oversee our installers/contractors and ensure the highest standards of service and quality.
Position Summary:The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the installation of shower units. This role involves overseeing project timelines, ensuring quality control, managing schedules for installers (both Newline employees and contractors), and maintaining effective communication with clients.The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, experience in construction or home building, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
Assign and manage install personnel for each project, ensuring they understand the scope and expectations.
Work with Newline QA Manager to ensure all installations meet Newline Group’s quality standards and comply with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and budget allocations.

- Installer and Contractor Management:
Monitor installer and contractor performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Arrange daily install schedules and ensure completion of all relevant documents from onsite (Health and Safety, QA etc)- Maintain positive working relationships with both Newline Installers/Site Mangers and contractors, providing support and training as needed.

- Client Communication:
Provide regular updates to clients on project progress, addressing any questions or concerns.
Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

- Administrative Duties:
Track department expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.

Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate both employees and contractors.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Familiarity with shower installation/general construction processes is preferred but not necessary.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with frequent travel to project sites across New Zealand.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
