Civil Estimator

Salary up to $150,000 + vehicle (depending on experience)

• Newly created role reporting into the Manging Director, Estimation Manager and Contracts / Commercial Manager
• Projects in subdivisions, 3 waters and commercial site works
• Ideal for an experienced estimator or a Project Engineer / Project Manager looking for a change

This long standing and premier Waikato civil contractor specialises in subdivisions, 3 waters drainage and commercial site works projects . Never short on work, they predominantly negotiate directly with their clients on major projects rather than being one of many at the tender box.

Work for them has never been busier and their client base wants them to price more projects ready to come online. They can’t keep up with demand so they now require a Civil Estimator to join their high performing business in a newly created role.

In this role you will assist with pricing roles between $1 million - $20 million across a range of civil infrastructure projects assisting the Estimating Manager, Contracts and Commercial Manager as well as the Managing Director.

Ideally for this role you will have:

• Current or previous QS or estimating experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification in quality surveying, civil engineering equivalent experience highly regarded
• Project experience ideally including subdivisions, 3 waters or commercial site works
• Strong commercial and numerical acumen, high level attention to detail and accuracy

This role would be ideal for an up and coming estimator looking to take the next step in their career or an engineer or project manager looking to take a sideways step into the office. You will be well supported working with the Estimating Manager, Contracts and Commercial Manager as well as the Managing Director
