We are looking for a logistics/operations leader to lead real‑time, end‑to‑end operational performance of our network.Kōrero mō te tūranga
  • About the roleThis role is all about optimising the network to ensure reliability, safety, and service performance targets are met.
You'll be the operational decision‑maker for the network each day, coordinating responses to disruptions, incidents, and emerging risks while maintaining seamless service delivery for customers and stakeholders.In this role, you will be:Leading real time execution of the daily operational plan overseeing the day of operations team, making operational decisions as they arise.Providing connectivity management between Road and Air networks to ensure operations are high-performing, efficient, and continuously optimised.Providing the operational contingency management to bridge network flow exceptions or volume surges, striking the right balance between service and cost.Leading Incident management and recovery coordination.There around 8 direct reports into this role.Mōu
  • About youYou are someone who loves developing people, takes ownership and is comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.
You stay calm under pressure, have the confidence to make quick logical decisions, asking questions, challenging assumptions, and are confident speaking up when something does not look right.

You are passionate about logistics, commercially aware, and able to bring clarity to complex situations.You'll combine that with:At least 5 years operational management experience within a fast paced operational environment.Strong leadership and team building capability.The ability to think logically under pressure with ability to pivot on the spot.

Well-developed planning, analytical and reporting skills.Experience of distribution and time critical service delivery.Well versed in managing for Safety and Wellbeing in an Operational EnvironmentAlthough standard hours are Mon
  • Fri, the nature of the business activities will require availability to react and respond to any significant events (service or incident related) on a 24/7 basis.
