Working at the intersection of strategy and delivery, you'll help establish and lead a regional hub that improves access to systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) and community-referred radiology services.During the establishment phase, you'll work closely with national and regional leaders to design and implement a consistent, high-quality service model.

Once embedded, you'll transition into ongoing system leadership—driving service improvement, strengthening provider networks, and identifying opportunities to expand access for those who need it most.This is a highly collaborative role where you'll partner with clinical teams, providers, and communities to co-design services that are equitable, responsive, and whānau-centred.

Your work will directly contribute to achieving national cancer targets and reducing barriers to care for Māori, Pacific peoples, Tāngata Whaikaha, and rural communities.You will embed Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations and an equity approach across governance, commissioning, service design and performance monitoring, ensuring Māori leadership and lived experience inform decisions, and that interventions are targeted to reduce inequities in access and outcomes.Te Tiriti o Waitangi and EquityPartner with iwi, hapū, Māori providers and Māori health teams to support shared priorities and Māori-led solutions.Apply an equity lens to planning, implementation and evaluation (including use of equity impact assessment where appropriate)Use data and insights to identify barriers and focus effort on groups experiencing inequitable access particularly Māori, Pacific peoples, Tāngata Whaikaha and rural communitiesBuild capability across the network so equity commitments translate into practice and measurable improvementAbout the TeamYou'll be part of a forward-thinking regional team within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, working closely with national leads and other regional hubs.

You bring a strong mix of programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and system thinking.You will bring:A relevant qualification in health, social sciences, or managementProven experience upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice, including partnering with Māori and supporting Māori leadership in service design and delivery3-5+ years' experience leading operational services, programmes, or change initiativesStrong project or programme management capabilityExperience delivering complex change in large or multi-stakeholder environmentsProven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across diverse stakeholdersExperience using consumer and whānau insights to inform service designDemonstrated ability to set, measure and deliver improvements in equity of access and outcomes (e.g.

using disaggregated data, equity targets, and continuous improvement)Sound understanding of financial concepts and operational deliveryIdeally, you'll also have:A clinical background (e.g.
