Carpenters - Wellington region
Carpenters required all throughout the Wellington region!
OneStaff is currently seeking experienced and reliable Carpenters to join our growing team. This is a full-time permanent position with guaranteed minimum hours, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of residential, commercial, and civil construction projects across New Zealand.
We are looking for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and a strong commitment to health and safety on site. Flexibility to travel and work across multiple regions throughout New Zealand is essential.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:- Site Setout and establishment work
- General construction related labouring on site
- Groundwork
- Formwork and Foundation/Slab preparation
- Reinforcing placement
- Interior and Exterior linings and finishing, waterproofing works
- Structural Timber Framing (Wall and Roof) and Gib board installation
- Fitting exterior wall cladding and door/window frames
- Concrete work, slabs and steel fixing, concrete repairs
- Installation of structures and fixtures
- Other duties assigned by supervisor
- Pay rate between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour depending on experience
- Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
- Full-time permanent employment
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants must have:- A minimum of 2.5 years’ relevant carpentry experience, OR
- A relevant Level 4 carpentry qualification or equivalent
- Good practical carpentry skills and knowledge
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good communication and time management skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work at various locations across New Zealand
- Drivers License
Location
Work may be required across multiple regions throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
