The Foundation Company Limited is a Wellington based residential repiling and foundation company, specialising in timber and concrete house foundations inside and under existing houses.
We are now seeking an experienced hammer hand / Carpenter to join our team working on sites across the wider Wellington region.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities
This role includes, but is not limited to:- Undertaking manual labour to excavate foundations
- Mixing and pouring concrete for foundations
- Underpinning existing foundations
- Working inside and underneath existing houses
- Cutting materials, assembling and nailing in shaped parts
- Cutting joints and preparing structural connections
- Working with timber, concrete, metals and soil
- Repairing and modifying existing timber work
- Full-time, permanent employment
- Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Applicants must have:- At least 3 years of proven experience in construction or civil environments
- Experience working with timber, concrete, and metals
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- An ability to work in varying environments
