Working Foreman Tiler
Metrofloor Contracting Ltd is a leading tile supplier and installer in the commercial and residential tile industry. Due to an increase in future projects, we require a full time experienced working foreman tiler.
As a working foreman tiler your job will include leading a team of tilers, performing hands on tiling work while also supervising daily operations ensuring high-quality installation and safety compliance.
Managing materials, coordinating with other trades, training junior staff and reporting project progress to managers and clients. Acting as the key link for project completion on time and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise: train and mentor tilers, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols (OSH guidelines)
- Project Management: Schedule tasks, coordinate with other trades (plumbers, electricians etc) order materials and manage site logistics.
- Quality Control: Inspect work, ensure compliance with building codes and guarantee finished products meet specifications and design.
- Technical Expertise: Interpret plans, set out tile layouts, prepare substrates, apply waterproofing and cut/install various tiles and grouts.
- Communication and Reporting: Liaise with clients and project managers.
- Site Safety Monitor site conditions, enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised wrok enviroment
Flexibility with hours and days of workwill be required to conform with certain contracfts i.e, weekend and after-hours work will be included when necessary and at times work will be out of town. This will be discussed with management.
