Office Manager - Miramar North School (Primary)

We seek a warm, proactive, and highly organised professional to join our lovely Year 0-6 primary school team as the School Office Manager. The role is 25 hours per week during term time.

You will serve as the front-facing representative and efficient backbone of the school, managing the administrative responsibilities and contributing to the smooth daily operation of our busy learning environment.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our amazing community, providing a welcoming environment while confidently handling a diverse range of tasks. These include front office management, managing the enrolment of new students to the school, managing and following up with student absences, efficiently ordering and managing school resources, supporting staff with administration functions, communicate with our families through email, app and in person.

There is also a significant amount of plaster and ice pack application and soothing words for the wounded.

We are looking for a tech-savvy, confident communicator who can anticipate needs, problem-solve independently, and take initiative to act as a central communication point for the school community.

The applicant must

  • have effective oral and written communication skills
  • have excellent interpersonal skills with the school students, staff, Board of Trustees, Home & School Association, parents and community

  • have experience in using information & communication technologies
  • provide first aid as necessary to pupils
  • have the ability to maintain confidences and confidentiality
  • be a good role model for students
