About the role:
The Warehouse Move Project Casual supports the physical relocation of warehouse stock, equipment, and infrastructure from one site to another. The role ensures stock is handled safely, accurately recorded, and moved efficiently while maintaining warehouse safety, cleanliness, and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with pre-move stock preparation, labelling, and packing
- Support stocktake and inventory verification activities
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or quarantined stock
- Prepare pallets, cages, and transport materials
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Load and unload stock safely onto transport vehicles
- Move stock and equipment within and between warehouse sites
- Follow move sequencing plans and floor lead instructions
- Ensure correct placement of stock in new warehouse locations
- Scan, record, or manually track stock movements as required
- Support reconciliation between physical stock and system records
- Report discrepancies to the Move Project Lead
- Follow all site safety procedures and manual handling practices
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Maintain tidy and hazard-free work areas
- Report hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately
- Assist with warehouse set-up post-move (racking, signage, cleaning)
- Support ad-hoc project tasks as required
- Work collaboratively with team members and contractors
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive team attitude
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts or weekends
- Previous warehouse or labouring experience preferred but not essential
- Understanding of basic health and safety practices
- Forklift licence advantageous (not essential)
- Ability to follow site induction and safety training
- Casual / project-based shifts
- Hours scheduled according to move plan and project timeline
- Safe work practices maintained
- Accuracy of stock handling
- Completion of assigned tasks on time
