HVAC Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

At Advanced Building Services (ABS) we undertake maintenance, repair, engineering and contracting services on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic services for owners of commercial buildings.
We currently have a vacancy for a qualified Electrical Service Technician or Registered Electrician to join one of our service teams. Although the majority of your day would be working independently, you would be part of a small service team made up of multiple trades who will also provide support to you when needed.This position invoices a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work across commercial buildings.
Working closely with your Service Co-ordinator and Service Manager you'll be responsible for servicing electrical systems, improving building reliability and ensuring high levels of tenant comfort.This role is a great opportunity to gain exposure to commercial HVAC systems, broadening your skill base and experience.

- Hours of work are 7:30am to 5:00pm weekdays (except Friday being 4:00pm). Participation in callout duties will be required (approximately 1 week in 8)

- Must be a NZ Electrical Registered Electrician or Electrical Service Technician with minimum of Paper A & B.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and a proactive approach to maintenance
- Experience with commercial air conditioning would be an advantage but not essential
- Eligibility to pass a security check
- Be a New Zealand resident or hold a valid NZ work visa
