Office Administrator

ASAP Contracting is looking for an experienced, reliable, and organised Office Administrator to join our tight-knit team. This is a permanent part-time role during school hours, suitable for an experienced administrator wanting to find a role that understands work-life balance!
You'll take the lead on a variety of responsibilities across office admin, payroll, accounts, and health & safety – ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic role and enjoys working with a no-nonsense crew who appreciate a good sense of humour.
The Role
Accounts, Payroll & Admin:- Run payroll using MYOB Payroll or similar software going forward
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciling MYOB bank feeds daily
- Process supplier invoices and apply charges to our job management software to ensure accurate costs are on jobs
- Check statements monthly
- Set up 20th Payruns, and manual payruns when required
- Issue customer invoices, and chase any that fall overdue
- Communicate with our suppliers and clients
- Maintain office systems, registers, and quality documentation
- Support project managers and ASAP staff where required with general admin functions
- Coordinate and help manage any H&S matters and documentation
- Train staff, manage PPE and monitor compliance
- H&S reporting & incident management
- Maintain safety registers, signage, and fleet vehicle compliance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an office administration role
- Proficient in MYOB or equivalent accounting/payroll software
- Microsoft Excel, Word must be your strong point
- Be able to navigate cloud storage and e-filing - we try be a paperless systems wherever possible
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confident working independently and managing competing tasks
- A “can-do” attitude, a good sense of humour, and the ability to work with a practical, straight-talking team
- Current NZ driver’s licence
