Operations Coordinator - Harvesting
About the Role**
As Operations Coordinator – Harvesting, you will take full ownership of your assigned forest harvest operations, managing them end-to-end to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance and quality standards. You will act as the key connection between our harvesting contractors and forest engineering teams—turning operational plans into reality, maintaining harvest infrastructure to a high standard, and driving consistent performance across all activities.
You will:- Champion safety, efficiency, and environmental best practice across all harvesting operations
- Manage contractor performance and ensure full compliance with operational standards
- Monitor production rates and log quality to keep operations on track
- Oversee the maintenance, development, and integrity of harvesting infrastructure
- Work with Forest Engineers on harvest planning, stream crossings, and resource consent development
- Coordinate road and landing construction, upgrades, and repairs
- Support budgeting and cost tracking, and contribute to wood-flow forecasting and reporting

**About You**
You bring harvesting or civil engineering experience, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety and improvement.
You also have:- Relevant forestry harvesting and/or engineering qualifications
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- A proven ability to meet deadlines
- A track record of adopting new systems and technology
- Experience managing contractors
- The ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
