A well-established company S&S SERVICE LTD is now enlarging its team to cope with the fast development. We are looking for SCAFFOLDERS.

• Location: Auckland
• Job type: Full-time Permanent
• Number of positions for this job: up to 10
• Pay rate: from $28-$32 per hour
• Days required: 5-6 days/week
• Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• unloading scaffolding equipment at the site
• calculate loadings and design a suitable scaffold structure for each situation
• Inspecting all scaffold components prior to assembly to ensure that components used are of similar material and in good repair before becoming a part of the completed scaffold, this includes (but is not limited to) mudsills, screw jacks, frames, braces, planks, access ladders.
• brackets, etc.
• Contacting and coordinating with the competent person regarding any issues associated with the erection of a scaffold.
• laying planks(battens)across the scaffolding for workers to walk on
• fixing the scaffolding to the building or structure to make it more stable, using short tie tubes
• putting up the scaffolding poles(standards) and attaching the horizontal tubes (ledgers) to them with couples
• taking down the scaffolding after a job is finished
• regularly inspect scaffolding for safety and make alterations and repairs as needed
• Checking levels in Scaffold Structures and maintaining scaffold equipment

• At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification
• A “can-do” attitude
• Have an eye on details
• Self-motivated
• Clean non-criminal record
