Superior Scaffolds is looking for an experienced Leading Hand / Senior Scaffolder to join our growing team based in East Tamaki.
Established in 1999, Superior Scaffolds has built a strong reputation delivering high-quality scaffolding and propping solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout Auckland. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a capable leader who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and puts safety first.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced scaffolder who is confident running crews, coordinating jobs onsite, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. You’ll work closely with our Management team while leading scaffolders onsite and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within scaffolding
- NZ Scaffolding Certificate (COC) Advanced
- Full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence
- Strong knowledge of scaffold systems, designs, and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and follow scaffold plans and drawings
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- High attention to detail and a strong safety mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Site Safe Passport and Working at Heights
- Lead, supervise, and mentor scaffold crews onsite
- Liaise with the Contracts Managers and Operations Manager
- Erect, alter, inspect, and dismantle scaffolding to NZ standards and Company Standards
- Complete scaffold inspections, tag systems, fastfields, and handovers
- Coordinate loading and unloading of scaffold materials
- Attend and lead pre-starts and health & safety meetings
- Maintain strong client relationships onsite
