We’re looking for an experienced Architectural Technician ready to step up into a Team Leader role, dedicating part of your role to focus on mentoring, guiding, and supporting our talented design team. You’ll have the best of both worlds staying hands-on in drafting.

- Deliver high-quality technical drawings, documentation, and project execution using ArchiCAD (v28 preferred).
- Manage building consent applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NZ standards and codes.
- Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, builders, and local authorities to deliver practical, buildable designs.
- Self-manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
- Mentor and support team members - providing technical guidance, sharing expertise, and helping to develop the next generation of designers.
- Contribute to creating a positive, supportive team environment, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
- A diploma or degree in Architectural Technology (or similar).
- At least 3 years of NZ-based architectural experience, with strong technical proficiency in ArchiCAD.
- Deep understanding of NZ building standards, NZS3604, NZ Building Code, and the consent process.
- Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) Design 2 accreditation, or the ability and commitment to achieve it.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, supportive approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
