Night Porters- casual shifts, Christchurch

We are looking for NIGHT PORTERS to join our team of casual staff in Christchurch.

We offer flexibility to work around other commitments, and the ability to choose when and where you work.

We are looking for experienced Night Porters / Security Personnel to:

• Ensure the safety and security of the premises during the night. (You will need to be happy to be sole charge at times)
• Assist residents/patients with any overnight needs or requests.
• Perform light cleaning and tidying duties to maintain a comfortable environment.
• Monitor building systems and report any issues.
• Handle any overnight deliveries or communications.
• Provide a reassuring presence and a point of contact during the night.
• Complete any necessary reports or logs.

You will need:

• Current First Aid Certificate
• Experience in a similar role such as night porter, security, or first responder
• A responsible and reliable nature
• Ability to work independently and as sole charge of a facility from time to time
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive approach to ensuring safety and addressing needs of residents
• Basic awareness of health and safety procedures
• A calm and professional attitude, particularly during quiet hours
• Reliability and a commitment to ensuring a peaceful night
