Are you a dynamic hospitality professional ready to make your mark?The Grand Hotel in the heart of beautiful Akaroa is looking for a Duty Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of one of the town’s iconic establishments.
What We’re Looking For:- A certificated Duty Manager, or someone prepared to obtain the qualification. (Please do not be deterred if you do not have this at this stage, contact us regardless)
- A people-person with excellent communication skills, especially between front-of-house and kitchen.
- Confidence with numbers, you’ll need to be comfortable with basic maths, managing floats, balancing tills, and reviewing basic sales data
- Someone who’s creative, a thinker, and ready to put their own spin on service and atmosphere.
- A calm and confident presence during busy shifts.
***Must be reliable and prepared to work weekends.
Hours: Two nights per week (permanent) to start
More shifts very likely available! Especially once trained and as we head into the busy summer season. You may also be placed in a bar staff / Restaurant staff capacity if required between The Grand Hotel and our sister Company: Ma Maison Restaurant.
