Cambridge Hire Centre is a proudly New Zealand–owned family business, established in 2013. Over the years, we’ve continued to grow and now offer an extensive range of plant and equipment for hire.
You’ll be responsible for:
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Mechanic / Customer Services team member to join our small, hardworking team.
About the Role: This is a varied and hands-on position where no two days are the same.You’ll be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of hire equipment
- Assisting with customer service including taking calls, processing hires, and providing product support.
- Pitching in across different tasks as needed – flexibility and adaptability are key in our busy environment.
The right candidate will bring a mix of technical know-how and great communication skills. You’ll ideally have trade qualifications or proven mechanical experience (particularly with small motors).

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A team player who can also work independently
- Flexibility with working hours
- Full drivers licence
Please note: You will be required to work one Saturday per month.
