ABOUT THE ROLE | Te turanga mahi
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our Engineering Shift team in a full-time, flexible capacity. Our Engineering team provides preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs, and technical support across cranes, mobile plant, and utility services - operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In this role, you will work alongside our Permanent Shift Electricians across five rostered groups, working 8-hour shifts. The primary purpose of this position is to provide cover for leave entitlements and training release as required.
Your working week may include any day from Monday to Sunday, across the following shift patterns:
- Day shift: 0600–1400
- Afternoon shift: 1400–2200
- Night shift: 2200–0600
Rosters are agreed between you and your manager, ideally two weeks in advance, providing greater certainty and work-life balance. You will be paid for 40 hours per week and are guaranteed at least 12 days off per calendar month. Overtime may be available, and rates will reflect this.
ABOUT YOU | Ko wai koe
To be successful in this role, you will be a New Zealand registered electrician holding a current practising licence. You will bring proven experience in:
- Fault finding on industrial plant
- Use of electrical test equipment
- SCADA systems, PLCs (preferably Siemens), and variable speed drives
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Understanding and following SOPs
- Working safely in accordance with established procedures and practices
- Completing planned maintenance tasks to a high standard, within required timeframes
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working confidently at heights
Additional skills that would be advantageous include basic high-voltage and hydraulic knowledge, strong mechanical aptitude, and a foundational understanding of mechatronics. Experience working with crane technology would be highly regarded.
