We're looking for a practical, reliable Operations Team Member to join our team. This role combines yard duties, forklift duties and Class 1 deliveries, giving variety across the day and making you a key part of keeping our customers supplied and our branch running smoothly.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional Saturday work may be required 8:00am – 12:00pm
About the Role
This position brings together yard operations, dispatch, and delivery driving. You’ll be working both on the forklift and on the road, ensuring orders are accurately picked, safely loaded, and delivered on time.
Key ResponsibilitiesForklift operation is essential – loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
Delivering building materials to customers and sites (Class 1 license required)
Picking and preparing customer orders accurately
Loading and unloading customer vehicles
Putting stock away and assisting with inwards goods
Maintaining a tidy, organized yard and dispatch area
Providing friendly, helpful service to trade and retail customers
Working efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
Supporting general yard and operational duties as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in accuracy, and understands the importance of teamwork in a busy trade environment.
Essential: Forklift OSH and F Endorsement and proven experience operating confidently
Full NZ Driver License (manual)Experience loading and securing building materials safely
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Strong reliability and time management
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred but not essential
Experience in a timber yard, building supplies, or trade environment
Knowledge of construction products
Basic computer skills
A practical, can-do attitude and willingness to muck in
