ICT Sales Representative
Wellington
We are seeking two ICT Sales Representatives in the Wellington Region, New Zealand, on a Full-Time, Permanent basis. You will be working in the Lower Hutt area.
5 Days a week (rotating roster) and a minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed. $35 - $40 per hour. Total on-target earnings, including commission, are estimated to be between $59,000 and $81,000 per year.
Job prerequisites:- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of ICT products and mobile/broadband solutions
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer engagement skills
- Confident working independently and managing responsibilities unsupervised
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as per roster
- Ability to handle challenging situations and resolve issues under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and CRM tools is advantageous
- Clear drug test result if requested by the employer
- Setting appointments with business clients and meeting them on-site or off-site, as per clients' requirements
- Engage with potential customers to understand their telecommunications needs
- Proactively sell mobile, broadband, and add-on ICT products in line with company offerings
- Provide accurate information on product features, pricing, and service plans
- Assist with new customer activations, port-ins, credit checks, device setups, and plan changes
- Process sales transactions using POS and ensure data accuracy for compliance
- Maintain visual merchandising and stock presentation standards in the store
- Meet and exceed sales targets through up-selling and cross-selling techniques
- Follow up with prospects and existing customers for renewals or value-add opportunities
- Troubleshoot basic customer issues and escalate complex cases appropriately
- Support in-store events, marketing promotions, and local community activations
- Accurately record and update sales leads, customer interactions, and outcomes in CRM
- Participate in product training, team briefings, and upskilling programs provided by suppliers or 2degrees
- Compiling lists of prospective client businesses using trade directories and other sources
- Acquiring and updating knowledge of the employer's and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions
- Visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities
- Assessing customers' needs and explaining the goods and services that meet their needs
- Promoting employers' ICT goods and services to existing and prospective clients
- Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording orders
- Arranging delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services
- Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of ICT goods and services
- Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with ICT goods and services purchased, arranging modifications and resolving any problems arising
- Preparing sales reports, and maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred
- Determining customer requirements and advising on product range, price, delivery, warranties and product use and care
- Demonstrating and explaining to customers the establishment's goods and services
- Selling software, mobile telephones and telephone accessories and services such as Internet access and mobile telephone plans
- Accepting payment for goods and services by a variety of payment methods and preparing sales invoices
- Assisting with the ongoing management of stock, such as product inventories, and participating in stocktakes
- Stacking and displaying goods for sale, and wrapping and packing goods sold
- Perform triage assessment of mobile devices to identify faults and determine if repair or replacement is required.
- Drive sales of IT security software (e.g., Trend Micro) and assist customers with installation and activation.
- Set up and provision Static IP addresses, port-forwarding configurations, and custom DNS settings for broadband customers.
- Assist with modem/router troubleshooting and network diagnostics.
- Educate customers on cybersecurity best practices and device safety.
- Developing opportunities to cross-sell the products to existing customers
- Clients (i.e., businesses) and promote hardware sales.
- Maintaining an accurate and ongoing sales pipeline
- Provide clients (i.e., businesses) with telecommunication solutions and handle their accounts.
